The Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (HWNN) Annual Report for 2022-23 outlines its commitment to championing the voices of local communities in health and social care.

This study investigated people’s experiences of local maternity services in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. This included maternity experiences related to care by both Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) and Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (SFH).

Following conversations with GPs from the Place-Based Partnership and the Local Medical Committee, we aimed to gain a clearer understanding of people's experiences with GP services. To do this, we conducted a mixed-methods survey across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, gathering both quantitative and qualitative data to better understand what was working well for patients.

We conducted a review of 144 GP websites across the region to assess the availability of essential information related to appointments and Covid-19 guidance. This report highlights key findings and offers recommendations for improving website content to ensure equitable access to care for all patients.
