Patient, Carer and Family Reference Group
The group was established as part of the Trust’s Integrated Improvement Plan (IIP), following recommendations from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with the aim of strengthening patient, carer and family involvement in service improvement.
Between January and September 2025, HWNN supported the group through a series of meetings, providing independent facilitation, feedback and developmental support. Over time, the PCFRG evolved from an early-stage forum into a more structured and purposeful advisory group, helping to ensure that lived experience informs decision-making across services.
