Healthwatch Nottinghamshire open consultation with staff
Healthwatch Nottinghamshire has begun consultation with our staff about possible redundancies as a result of receiving formal notification about a reduction in future local authority funding to £198,000.00.
This level of funding has been approved by Nottinghamshire County Council’s Policy Committee.
Healthwatch Nottinghamshire remain committed to helping local people to get the best from their health and care services.
To ensure that we are still able to deliver our statutory responsibilities and meet the needs of the citizens, patients and the partners we work with in Nottinghamshire, we have created a strategy which will make use of more innovative approaches and ways of working. This includes effective outreach and engagement, developing more effective partnerships, increasing our volunteer base, collecting and using data systematically and identifying and demonstrating our evidence in ways that are more meaningful to our stakeholders.
We will use the next 30 days (starting 1st March 2017) in consultation to work closely with our staff to explore the options for maintaining job security wherever practicable. It is anticipated that only a small number of roles may be impacted by any proposed changes.
